2014 Chehalem Chardonnay

Sourced from Corral Creek Vineyard just east of Newberg, Ore's 2014 Chehalem Chardonnay is a distinctly Oregon chardonnay.  Unlike many California chardonnays, this chardonnay is neither buttery nor oaky.  Fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel and then aged in neutral oak barrels, the wine has hints of honeydew, orchard fruit and minerals.  Mike often refers to his chardonnay as "chardonnay for people who say they don't like chardonnay".
