2014 Rogue Valley Sangiovese

Inspired by travel and a love for Italy, this wine was a passion project.  Sourced from Griffin Creek Vineyard just east of Jacksonville, OR, Mike gave these grapes extra love.  By custom building a stainless steel and oak press, Mike employed an old-school Italian technique called submerged cap.  Instead of punching down the "cap" or grape skins during fermentation, the custom build screen keep the grape skins in constant contact with the wine.  This resulted in a supple and incredibly drinkable Oregon Sangiovese.  This has been a favorite of the 2015 vintage and a top seller at the SE Wine Collective International Pinot Noir Conference event.
